Floating letters rule the animated world of Herzog and the Monsters. Letters, swirl as quickly into sentences as they decide to disband into the scenery - if you let your eyes glaze over as you pass a bookcase without reading the spines, you lose part of the story.
Scottish Animation Artist, Lesley Barnes, has the moonlit touch of a Motion Graphics version Edward Gorey. A self-confessed fanatic for title sequences, Barnes, translates that technique into storytelling as her young hero creates his world from the letters that surround him. |
