re-editing old 80's footage into a tricky fetishistic mash of fine
art, music video, and nostalgia. Their website: 53 O's (separating
themselves from Google by 51 o's) is like a playground, with videos,
poems, and music.
Like Mad Max, these artists have to spend hours scouring a
post-apocalyptic-like landscape of culture that has been left behind.
With these raw materials, aligned with their sparse retro beats, the
two have pinpointed the lost El Dorado of the Regan years. |
