The son a pilot, Kris Young was raised on the dreams of taking flight. Even as a child, he knew he was never meant to sit behind the yoke of an airplane and see the world from 20,000 feet. One day he would find his own way to soar.
Years later, as Kris was finishing his studies in graphic and motion design, these dreams and this destiny would reemerge as if always hiding behind a cluster of clouds. By combining his abilities in typography, motion graphics, stop-motion, digital and polaroid photography, and his personal travelogue footage and archived family photography, he found a way to explore the human experiences of memory and the moment. This hybridization of ideas has endured throughout his personal and professional work as he continues to explore and transcend various media. Now living and working in Los Angeles, Kris's work has been exhibited in the United States and France.
