Director Brendan Cook graduated with honors in 1997 from The College of Fine Arts UNSW. His final year animation project was featured on SBS TV's short film program, eatcarpet. From 1997 until 1999 Brendan worked as a web designer and animator for new media pioneers GoManGo. From 1999 until 2001, Brendan held the position of Broadcast Designer at multi-award-winning industry leaders GMD. There he provided design and direction experience on many broadcast and commercial projects, produced for a range of clients including Discovery Channel, Odyssey Channel, Sony, Arena, SBS and the ABC. With a keen interest and talent for film-making Brendan has completed 2 short films, both of which have received awards in various Australian film festivals.
In 2002 Brendan founded PictureDrift with the aim of providing excellence in creative services and visual communication within the film and television industry.
In Darkness Under the Sun is based on a short story by Italo Calvino. |
