Bryan Papciak
Met State
A commercial animation director, Bryan Papciak teaches at Rhode Island School of Design and is currently working on a live-action graphic novel as well as other independent experimental film, mixed media, and photography projects. He is also a founding member of Handcranked Film Projects, a Boston-based filmmakers' collaborative exploring the arts through non-commercial, experimental media. Recently, he and Jeff Sias were awarded with a production grant from the LEF Foundation for their collaborative feature film, American Ruins .

Met State was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival and has received numerous festival awards for Best Experimental Film. Met State is a visual portrait of an abandoned insane asylum, filmed over two years in different conditions and employing different film and animation techniques.
