Judith Motzkin + Sasha Mandel
Earth, Hands, Fire
The work of Judith Motzkin has been exhibited nationally and internationally with her unique ãflame paintedä clay works represented in the permanent collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Judy's mixed media and digital work represent a spirit of adventure into the challenges of materials and ideas to be explored. She was a founding member of the Cambridgeport Artists Open Studios (CAOS). She has served on the Cambridge Arts Council Advisory Board. She has taught as visiting artist at Radcliffe-Harvard, MIT, Mass College of Art and various craft programs and workshops.

Her son, Sasha Mandel, was born in Cambridge in 1985. He is currently studying Cinema Studies at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, where he enjoys riding his bike and creating mind-melting noises, both with his band Shopping Spree and solo on electric guitar and laptop. These freeform sound experiments can be heard weekly on WOBC 91.5 FM ( www.wobc.org ), Thursday at 11 AM.
